Originally from Buffalo, studied classical guitar on a scholarship at age 14. As an older teen fell in love with the playing of David Bromberg and Doc and Merle Watson. In the early 80's starting writing songs Now playing dancable, upbeat rootsy blues in the band: "Al Fredo and the all Cheese Band". Also playing and singing jazz influenced standards of the 30's - 50's for retirement aged adults..
