About this user

Guitar instructor, freelance music composer/arranger, and performer.

Feng has been a guitar instructor for 5 years and has performed for numerous events. Together with his band, they emerged champions and 1st runner-up in competitions such as Rockafella IV & Stardust '08 respectively. He was invited to carol in shopping centres such as IMM and Bugis Junction in 2008, played on National TV in 2009, as well as the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre in 2011. He has also worked with Singapore Idol Finalist, Maia Lee and Channel 8 celebrity, Nick Shen Wei Jun.

Most recently, he had the honour of performing in the presence of Mrs Goh Chok Tong at a fund-raising dinner held at the Grand Copthorne Hotel.

Apart from live performances, he has done live recordings as well, such as Garage Sessions @ Oxley, and Acoustic Sessions with Jaime. Part of his working experience with theVoice Productions has allowed him to be involved in the recording and arrangement of songs, which were used for the local musical, "Silver Dreams", held at Alliance Francaise Theatre. He also sessioned as the lead guitarist for a live musical entitled "Thief of Time" held at The Republic Cultural Centre (TRCC) in 2008.

Over the years, he has picked up the drums, bass, and keyboards. As an experienced musician, he has a strong understanding of music which aids him both in composition as well as in arrangement of music.

Feng is expected to enroll in the prestigious Berklee College of Music in September next year.

Feng was named the top winner of NEA Eco Music Challenge 2011 in August for his song, "World Without Fences"
