Instrumental pop group Sterling EQ performs a knockout instrumental version of Caruso (preceded by the lyrics in English, recited by electric cellist Ariella Caira) in front of a 1200 pax live audience at the Artscape Opera House. The performance was part of a full length concert which was filmed for their first live DVD. The performers are: Carina Bruwer (flute), Eriel Huang and Magdalene Minnaar (electric violins), Ariella Caira (electric cello), Albert Horne (piano and arrangement), and the Sterling orchestra.
"Performing this iconic song meant we really had to push our own boundaries, as it is such a legendary vocal piece and to interpret it on instruments is truly challenging; one has to rely on the melody alone to touch the hearts of the audience." From the warm ovation received it seems that Sterling managed to hit the spot perfectly!
Sterling Electric Quartet (popularly known as Sterling EQ) has taken the South African entertainment industry by storm with their genre-defying musical style and sensational live performance. What started out in 2007 as a corporate show, exploded into a musical phenomenon which the public and media alike cannot seem to get enough of. Sterling has performed at huge events like the South African Music Awards (SAMAs), the opening of Cape Town stadium, FIFA Final Draw party in Long Street, and IPL Cricket Tournament opening, as well as numerous festivals, corporate and public events both locally and abroad. Theyve shared stages with icons such as Boney M, Snow Patrol, Johnny Clegg, Parlotones and Soweto Gospel Choir, and have entertained local and international celebrities to the likes of Elton John, Annie Lennox, and Lance Armstrong, to name but a few.

SA Music award winning Instrumental pop group STERLING EQ's debut music video "NOVA - The Movie" (Produced & directed by Larissa Hollis, composed by Gabi Le Roux).
The Sterling girls brought visual life to their Classic-pop-kwaito-instrumental hit song Nova by reenacting various scenes from iconic movies, and enjoyed briefly fill the acting shoes of Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Charlize Theron and Angelina Jolie, amongst others!
