The Startender

Giancarlo Stine, "The Startender" makes his own original cocktails based on the excretions of celebrities. Each show features a new recipe for a drink inspired by excretion-inducing events in the lives of popular celebrities such as Brittany Snow, Kevin Federline, Chrissie Hynde, Britney Spears and even rival celebrity bartender Philip Duff of Bols.
The introduction montage of video and sound for each episode appropriates other users' material from YouTube and re-inserts it with a mind toward tapping into the collective power of the celebrity-driven gossip machine, our cultural obsession with alcohol and inebriation, and the new form of community that sites like YouTube constitute.
