Im pretty sure the reason Colin said a "Tern" as the bird, was because when Ryan said "what bird says the name of the next band", he thought of the band The Byrds. And one of the Byrd's greatest hits is "Turn Turn Turn". So thats why he said "Tern"

Whoever says Lucic was at no fault in this play clearly needs their eyes checked. There was enough time for Lucic to avoid him at least a bit more than he did...he just fully ran into a unsuspecting Miller!!
