I started guitar playing house of the rising sun and hotel California. After a few years I added more covers. Ten years later I was kind of a walking jukebox of campfire songs. Things became serious when a friend asked me to replace his rhythm guitarist in his weekly gig in a pub in Amsterdam. He was very demanding, especially concerning steadiness. We played Rhythm and blues, Beatles, and a lot of seventies songs. Gradually I started playing jazz standards and bossa's, which I performed solo at various weddings. I keep searching for 'my thing' . Currently I play the bass guitar in a jazz ensemble, and keep fighting with my guitar. Western or classic? electric plays comfortably, but lacks the acoustic sound. Steelstring is hard work..Classic too mellow..
I guess I'll never find out, and keep searching. This is the reason my contributions seem random in style.
