Secretariat Is my All TIME Favorite horse! I have a list (it is based on my opinion) of the top Ten greatest racehorses ever. And Secretariat is Number 1!!!!

Secretariat was a wonder horse. I was 12 when he won the Triple Crown and I even made a cloth painting with wax patterning his checkered hood. I had just began showing horses myself, but Secretariat was magnificent in each race. Thank you for bringing back those unforgettable moments.

Some know, Secretariat's heart turned out to be bigger than the average Thoroughbred. But, he had more than just the right body, he had heart. I cried when I heard he colic and was put down.

Ruffian made me cry, too. She was one admirable broad of a horse. I wish she could have gone out there and proved what she truly was; but, like too many, her legs could not handle the stress the heart, soul and muscle she had. RIP Champions!

I didn't think there was anyone else out there that felt about Secretariat like I did, that loved the HORSE himself! Love his videos, and of course, the subject matter!!!

I've loved horses all my life, and Secretariat I loved more than any horse I've ever owned. I watched him win the Triple Crown, and I cried like a baby when he died. I STILL cry when I seen videos of him, or even a picture! This man has a knack for this horse, and I greatly enjoy all his videos! ANYONE who loves Secretariat is special in my heart! :)

Love your project! Watch it habitually. You might add Risen Star's '88 Belmont to it if you don't have it already. I think it's a nice little conclusion. I heard a quote once (William Nack maybe) that horse racing is a never ending tale: we see horses run against each other in one season, and years later we see their kids compete against each other, and it just goes on and on. Risen Star's eerily similar romp in 1988 is quite an essential piece of the Secretariat tale I think. Although maybe I just love Dave Johnson's call way too much down the stretch. Keep up the good work.

Thanks so much gfno2. Secretariat was as that song goes...simply the best.....better than all the rest. Nobody ran so effortlessly, so determined....so magically. Every time I watch the horse run the tears fill up. Everyone out there....you watch this horse....you see the inner beauty in every stride. It is very mesmerizing. A horse that was so many people's hero. When Secretariat ran a race nothing else mattered. People would stop and be in awe!
