Syed Imon Rizvi is a student of Professor Sibte Jafar Zaidi and doing soazkhwani for more than 10 years. He has done soazkhwani in several cities of Pakistan and US.
Soazkhwani is a Shia Islamic Vocal art, through which sadness and lamentation is shown for the tragic death of grandson of Prophet Mohammad in the fields of Karbala by corrupt, tyrant and so called Muslim leader of that time, Yazeed. The name of the grandson is Hussain Ibn-e-Ali (A.S).
An extensive research has been done on SOAZKHWANI by Harvard University, Columbia University and an university in Florida.
Imon has performed at Harvard University and Voice of America (Radio Station) in USA as representing his teacher Sibte Jafar.
