About Gerry McComb III
I am one of the founders of High Ridge Singers.. a youth drumgroup here in Moose Factory. Three of us started it in January of 2008 with a goal to help the community's youth who suffer from alcohol and drug abuse, to spread the teachings, start a good infection and bring what was thought to be lost back.. our culture. We started out with 4 of us around the drum and now there are around 18 drummers and 6 backup singers learning with us. We have received recognition from our people, received our drum from the community's leaders, and attended 6 powwows so far with more to come. HOKAH!
