Hi. I'm an advocate for sustainable living and communities. I created the "Palm Springs Green Scene" website and weekly newsletter in December 2008 as a citizen contribution to the city lead initiative "Palm Springs' Path to Sustainability". It's clear how important it is to raise public awareness about diminishing natural resources, the need for conservation across the board, and the need to change our wasteful and excessive consumer behaviors. Developing a thriving localized economy, in which our most basic needs (water, food, energy, transportation etc.) can be met locally or regionally is a major factor enabling strong, resilient communities. I believe in the magical, trans-formative, and beneficial power of community food gardens !
