Gottesdienste, Gespräche und Dokumentarfilme widerspiegeln in aller Breite und Dichte die ganz unterschiedlichen Zugänge der Menschen zu Religion und Glauben. Die «Sternstunde Religion» beschäftigt sich mit spezifischen Fragestellungen rund um die Schweizer Landeskirchen sowie Ethik und Gesellschaft Gleichzeitig gewinnen der Austausch zwischen den Religionen und der Blick auf andere Glaubensinhalte und Gemeinschaften zunehmend an Bedeutung.

Er ist wohl der berühmteste Atheist der Welt und zweifellos der leidenschaftlichste. Mit seiner 2007 in Deutsch erschienenen Streitschrift «Der Gotteswahn» landete Richard Dawkins einen Bestseller und löste heftige Kontroversen aus, die bis heute nicht verstummt sind.
In seinem neusten Buch greift er die «Schöpfungslüge» an und legt dar, warum Darwin mit seiner Evolutionstheorie Recht hat. Dass ein Biologe gegen absurde kreationistische Behauptungen anschreibt, ist verständlich. Doch was treibt diesen Mann dazu, alles was auch nur im Entferntesten mit Religion zu tun hat, so vehement zu bekämpfen? Warum differenziert er nicht, sondern wirft religiöse Fundamentalisten mit so genannt Progressiven oder Liberalen in einen Topf? Warum will er zerstören, was vielen Menschen Sinn und Halt im Leben gibt?

Thoughts on religion in general. None of these videos are meant to belittle anyone's personal beliefs, but to give a perspective on religion in general. Religion has created many problems throughout the ages, and from time to time we seriously need to question it. The search for sanity and reason starts with people questioning things. On a personal note, I have my own reasons for believing in God, but I fully recognize religions faults, as they do not employ the scientific method for forming their beliefs.
