@imissthawwf94 Nice of you to say that. I was born in 1969, so my teen years were in the 80s, and I feel sorry for younger people who will never be able to experience what it was like growing up then. Keep listening to the music, its the next best thing. :)

I was lucky enough to see them in Manchester many years ago, at a small place called the Apollo theatre. Pat came into the tiny foyer, on his own without bouncers, at the end of the concert and signed autographs for ages. I got him to sign my ticket, which is now framed :)

When you listen to a lot of the 80s music, the music seemed to have a lot classier feel to it in the way it was produced and put together, ie, chord changes, structure and melodies, backing, the whole thing really I guess, compared to music of today which seems all a variation on a theme.

Saw him do this live at a Haven holiday park in Caister, Norfolk, many years ago. Fish came into one of the bars on site before the show and got pissed, and stood on a table and bought people drinks. Awesome.

@Blondie1973pdb Yes I agree entirely. I grew up as a teenager in the 80s and these songs mean so much to so many of us who were lucky enough to be part of that decade. It was a simple time, full of fun, no mobiles or internet either. I prefer those days. Sadly gone.

Its a good pop record, for what its worth. I remember when it came out, and yes its cheesy, mimed, glossy and catchy, but thats what it was all about in those heady days lol. I didnt buy it though. Ha

I was a teenager in the 80s and grew up with this stuff, and yes I loved it back then, but I do think nostalgia plays a big part in the way that music appeals to us so much now in 2012, and thats probably because we have had to endure 20 years worth of rubbish from the likes of Oasis, Robbie Wi...

@smitty195 Growing up as a teenager in the 80's was just fab, and was a very happy time for me. I think a lot of people our age feel a hint of sadness that its all long gone. I often wish I could turn back the clock.
