@kefka3 It was super-HOT in Hades around the river of fire(Phlegathon). Teiresis was a blind prophet- but may have been given more intense powers in Hades, that causes Odysseus to shrink from him in fear(or it could be from another scarry performance by Mr. Christopher Lee!

This is one of the best of the "Hallmark" production epics- well produced(pretty much faithful to Homer's classical work) and great casting- who other than the 1950's greek actress Irene Papas could play Odysseus's mother? Isabella Rossellini is beautiful as the "grey-eyed" goddess Athena.
