@bobos07 Translating Jp into English is quite difficult, because of differences in both the language as well as the emotions expressed, which are often subtle and w/ images full of cultural connotations in Jp. But do agree that the translation is awkward.

@jamroful 同意你大部分的看法：王靜的長相、聲音、台風、和對這首歌的表達跟麗君的原唱差太多了！！對天津的藝界 / 當場觀衆的反映，也是一句話：不識貨！但我覺得這跟王靜是不是大陸妹為兩回事，因爲麗君雖是臺灣出生、成長，她是在臺灣所謂的“­外省人”（臺灣的大陸妹 :-) ），但她自己和所有臺灣的閩南人都以她在於臺灣成、長而驕傲，所有國内及海外的華人也為麗君在亞洲歌壇的成就而深以爲榮；還希望­國内、臺灣的藝界及觀衆提高水準，真正能培養個國際級的好歌手。（我是個樂痴，也是麗君的歌迷，所以一直盼望十四億的中國人那天­能出個爲麗君接棒的...，看來這輩子不太可能了。:-( ）

The singing is not bad, but the loud piano accompaniment and (esp) idiotic clapping are totally unsuitable for this sad song! Compare this to the sensitive/tender version by 中森明菜 and you'll see my point.
