@SaxReview I'm a fan of vintage American horns with a big, ball-swinging sound. Among modern horns, the closest one I've gotten my hands on is a Keilwerth SX-90R.

1956 Le Mans - Mike Hawthorn Jaguar OnBoard Lap
Mike Hawthorn drives a Jaguar D-Type in Le Mans in 1956
@schanche1965 Most teams withdrew? What did you pull that one out of? And you are dead wrong to say that the film shows Hawthorn making a sudden last-second move towards the pits. It was a smooth, routine, planned move. Macklin made an unforced error and lost control, then gracelessly tried t...

@ChocoaNuggetz It's easy to play - badly. It takes disciplined practice routines to become a player you'd want to listen to. You gotta love it. The great thing about the web is that there are a lot of places to find stuff on technique and practice tips.

Macklin can be seen moving to his right at 0:26-0:27. His right wheels are kicking up dust from a narrow strip of dirt between 0:27-0:31. Braking hard with two wheels in the dirt made him lose control. Levegh moved towards the centerline just as Macklin was careening across the track. Hawthor...

Lydian Concept 2
PB Explains the LYDIAN CHROMATIC Concept for Guitarists - PART 1
@antarsitar It's dangerous, but never say "never." Pentatonic is safest over a major third, but sometimes the dissonance of the fourth is used to good effect - IF the player knows what they are doing. And Charlie Parker definitely knew what he was doing.

The 86 sounds a little ballsier and the MkVI a little more lyrical. Bet the Mauriat could be lightened up a little if that suited the player's style. The difference between Rollins and Coltrane on the MkVI was the difference between a 10* with soft reeds and a 4 or 5 with hard reeds.
