... a community where most of the people, most of the time held all that they possessed with open hands...ready to meet the needs of those around them, freely supporting local churches and ministries, and strengthening the fabric of the community through a rising tide of generosity.

This is the vision of the Generous Community Initiative of Portland (GCIP), a collaborative effort between local business leaders, pastors, school administrators, non-profit and city leaders and the communities they serve.
