Has any one heard of static electricity before???? when a plane or helicopter flies it builds up huge amounts of static electricity. this is usually discharged on landing for a plane, and for a helicopter. This is why rescuers on for helicopters make sure that they do not touch anything metal...

@wille201 I used to live near there, and my school was really close. Every day we would get passes like this from dobbins. and because of the takeoff pattern there with KATL so close, the jets would go 600 kts at 100ft agl and then just go vertical right over our football field, best sight/noise ...

@PlayfieldOfChristina Actually if you think about it a plane, only pushes air back fast if it is accelerating... in this case if he is holding speed at a steady 500kts lets say. he is only pushing back as much air as their is drag on a plane and a fighter jet has almost no drag. their is not much...
