I'm 51 years old and I've been playing blues and blues rock guitar for close to 36 years. Growing up, I was lucky to see many of the greats perform. To those who've never seen a Leslie West, a Johnny Winter, a Robin Trower, a B.B. King, etc. perform, I urge you in all sincerity to try your best to see at least one of these legendary performers, and do so at your first opportunity. Make haste. Although some of these legends may be but a shadow of their former selves, once they are gone....that is it. They won't be back and we may never...no, WILL NEVER, see their likes again. So many have already left us....Albert & Freddie King, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Randy California, Rory Gallagher, Paul Kossoff, Roy Buchanan, Eddie Hazel, the awesome Link Wray, and more....need I say more?

And thank God for YouTube...it's a place many of these greats will live on in performances that we could only dream of seeing or re-living!

It's also a place where no-account nobodies like myself can post their ham-handed riffery and feel, for a moment at least, like one of the greats themselves, and reach an audience heretofore unreachable to us.

And, oh yeah...ain't my vibrato keen!?
