They sang in PUBLIC often as did Crooks while Lanza did most of his work in a recording studio and movie sound stage. Lanza did have a great voice but he also had profound mental issues...

Wow! What a wonderful performance.He sings with tremendous ease and despite the unusual assortment of roles he performs the voice never sounded better. Bravo!!

@SHICOFF1 Milanov was said to have lowered the duet in every performance of the opera except for the last performance with Tucker at the gala were she sang the duet in key. Zinka also sang the duet down with Del Monaco but it is still sensational.

Outstanding performance. Campagnano sounds very, very good and I never bothered to listen before simply because I was foolish enough to trust the opinion of a typical half witted British critic who found that Campagnano had the middle voice of a bit role tenor but glorious top notes.
