In general, I avoid the current events stuff, but just saw that Whitney Houston passed away. Not surprising really (given her unfortunate decline), but still sad. And, man... such a flashback to childhood. With 2 older sisters force-feeding me mainstream pop as a young'un... did I have any choice but to love 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody'...?

Having recently joined the 'Elf On A Shelf' revolution, I've realized that this ridiculous 24-cents-to-manufacture doll now hold CONSIDERABLY more sway with our kids than Barb or I could ever dream of.

So, am I hurt by this, you ask? Mmm... no. Why? Because at this rate, Fiona and Renn are gonna achieve sainthood in a matter of hours. And, all it takes is moving this ridiculous elf to a new location whenever they aren't looking.

Hey there.. just a quick note to answer a few of your questions... yes, the new compilation albums will be available in iTunes South America within the next couple weeks (along with the rest of my post-2008 songs), and yes, if you absolutely don't like iTunes (and I know some of you don't :))... the new albums will be available in Spotify (http://spotify.gavinmikhail.com/), etc. in the next week or so!
