I'm only allowed about 500 characters, so I'll only be able to give a few examples, but I'll include a website that contains a great deal of research with references on gun control statistics, myths, etc...

@EruditeCanadian Of course a handgun is more effective than pepper spray, but most people do not carry guns with them, so at least with pepper spray you have a chance to defend yourself. I'm trying to get a CCW permit, but unfortunately I live in Kalifornia ...

Do you recommend Sabre Red over Fox? I think Sabre is water based and Fox is oil based, but from what I've heard, Fox might be hotter and more effective.

Excellent review! Just one question. Why would Kershaw put both an assisted opening mechanism and a tip lock on the same knife? It takes time to open the lock, which would cancel out the advantage of assisted opening.
