Gary Gunn is a New York City based music producer and film composer whose vision is continually sought out for a wide array of award winning projects by luminaries in film, music, contemporary art, advertising, & fashion on several continents. He has also drawn recent acclaim as a recording artist in his own right pioneering provocative works including his genre-busting debut album Destroying Beauty, which garnered coveted raves from The Source Magazine, and his current undertaking—Stic People: A Collection of Musical Portraits, an ambitious sound installation scheduled for opening 2011.

While very much at the beginning of his career, Gunn has built an enviable resume scoring and creating original music for film and television projects including 2009 Sundance Official Selection, The Young and Evil (where he was also recognized at ASCAP's Composer's Spotlight ceremony) and Showtime's Emmy-nominated Sleeper Cell series. He is also the composer/music supervisor behind BET's groundbreaking dramatic webseries Buppies (viewership in the millions), created original music for Rick Yunes' action feature film the Fifth Commandment, and has scored the (yet to be released) animated musical short film Lonely Loves Lonely. In 2010, Gunn expanded his foray into the art world when he was commissioned alongside legendary U.K. band U.N.K.L.E. to compose music for Simon Birch's Hope & Glory: A Conceptual Circus, a multi-media installation—exhibited at Hong Kong's historic ArtisTree in 2010—the largest in the country's history. Later that year he produced music for the Cannes Lions Design award-winning, Six Scents Parfums: Series Three Collection, (carried at luxury retailers throughout the world) including the score for the Making Scents Of Memories documentary and accompanying films, Deflowering Lily by James Widegren, Gunn, and Kaya Sorhaindo, which was on display at the Standard Hotel in Miami during Art Basel 2010, and Untitled, 2010, by visual artist Sue DeBeer, who has permanent collections in the Whitney Museum of American Art, the New Museum For Contemporary Art, and the Brooklyn Museum. Taking notice, Puma commissioned Gunn to create the music that replaced Gnarls Barkley's Moving On in their global ad campaign, Journey of Football, currently airing in professional soccer stadiums worldwide.
