Your arguement makes absolutely no sense. Seeing as the first ever heavy metal band, the legendary Black Sabbath didn't use double bass drums and the vast majority of Iommi's riffs are slow tempo, dark and heavy as fuck. Thrash metal/death metal are only sub-genres of heavy metal, no...
