Bowman Body Mania
Bill Bowman, as the Bowman Body, hosted Shock Theater on WXEX (now WRIC) from 1970 to 1976 in Richmond, Cobweb Theater on WVIR-TV in Charlottesville from 1977 to 1979, and Monsterpiece Theater on WNVC in Fairfax in 1985. Bill also did a couple of commercials for Popkin Furniture in the 80s. Currently, he makes occasional appearances at conventions and projects like Monsterfest and "Mark of the Damned."
I grew up with the Bowman Body, watching Shcok Theater at the end of its run, performing rabbit ears acrobatics trying to tune in WNVC in the summer time, and watching commercials for Popkin Furniture during late night showings of Kolchak on Channel 6 in the late 80s.
