The cross everyone's seen a million times. But in editing this one, I incorporated a second angle from behind Jordan.

You gotta give both players credit. To be fair, MJ defended this as well as anybody could have. Though he got crossed badly and probably reached a bit more than he should have, he still recovered quickly enough to contest the shot.

AI just made a bold, sick move against the greatest player of all time, and managed to drain the shot.

And as far as I'm concerned, there's no carry or palming here -- his hand is nowhere near the bottom of the ball, nor does he scoop the ball. It's just a couple of hesitation dribbles chained into a crossover. And a very good one.




And as a side-note, I'm seeing way too many comments that say, "So what MJ dropped 35 and the Bulls won in a blowout." No, that ain't true. Stop spewing out nonsense masquerading as "facts."

This March 12, 1997 game in Philly ended 108-104 Bulls. MJ had 23 points, and AI finished with 37. Yes, the Bulls won and that's the most important stat, but stop making things up just to diminish AI's individual performance.

For the record, these are MJ's numbers against the Sixers that season:
- 27 points, 115-86 Win (Nov 2, 1996)
- 31 points, 111-105 Win (Dec 21, 1996)
- 23 points, 108-104 Win (Mar 12, 1997)
