Homo Ludens is a term used for the first time by Johann Huizinga. Huizinga points out that playing is as important as reasoning and making. He writes of Homo Ludens, Man the Player, as important as Homo Sapiens, Man of Reason, and Homo Faber, Man the Maker.

When all the work and production will be completely automated we will all turn to be Homo Ludens, people who play. Today, when the automation is ongoing, the numbers of people who play is increasing. I am just one of them. :-)
