Gracie won Silver at Jr. Worlds, the 13 year old whirling devish Julia Lipnitskaia won Gold. Gracie's skate was fantastic, she is a veritable goddess of the ice. She'll probably win Gold at Nats next year, unless Alissa Czisny can turn in two clean programs.

...And Gracie just won Silver at Jr. Worlds 2012 in Minsk. The Russian phenom Julia Lipnitskaia won the Gold medal. They both turned in outstanding, fantastic performancs.

The director on this movie is horrible! It's like she's directing a student film. Fire her!

I like the script but Disney should have had a Haley Mills type play the lead and the directing was stiff and wooden. The lead's performance was "flat" and she just isn't photogenic. With a good director and a different lead this movie would have been much better. I still like the movie, I'm j...

This is actually a good movie because it has some sharp dialog.

I should elaborate: "Aero-dynamic" refers to air movement. It's gyroscopic movements that are actually involved in ice skating. Although by designing costumes in certain aero-dynamic ways you might improve stability and maybe even increase loft time. And how about ice skates with shock absorb...

This is actually a great skate, great costume too. Everybody is like "Boo-hoo, she lost" but she's currently ranked 2nd in the world in the ISU rankings.

The top names in American figure skating all in one place. That's an experience.

Oh yeah, copy some other guy's work and pretend it's your own. The John Wayne version was superior. This version thought it would be "realistic" but it ain't. The John Wayne version was realistic. This movie is just a lot of shuffling and grunting.

This idiot remake is horrible. The John Wayne version was one of the best Westerns ever made.

The remake was horrible, the Coen Bros, thought they'd make some money by trying to emulate the first movie. They failed. Hollywood is just remakes, ripped off scripts and stolen screenplays. Hollywood is puke.

The John Wayne "True Grit" is better than the re-make. All Hollywood does anymore is re-makes, and the rest of the scripts Hollywood steals.

@mishoven Got your wish, Alissa and Ashley are going to Worlds this year. I really like this performance of Alissa's. Yes, those darn Xmas trees. Who invented Xmas trees anyway? Couldn't they have invented the Xmas shrub instead, then we could have seen.

Intriguing performance from beginning to end. Makenna has a "je ne sais quois" that pulls you into her performance. Quite a showgirl skater, like Yuna or Kiira. And she gets Gold.
