As soon as I get my hands on another iPhone 4 locked the vid will be going up. This week sometime. 11/11/11 means nothing. Before this Sunday. I want to film a locked phone showing locked than the process without a cut in the vid. BTW people have been unlocking using this as a guide.

I was told 4s iPhone are locked by AT&T as. Soon as its activated. Imie is added to the locked database on 1st boot and activation. Apple manager told me this. For those that have  mc271ll you are already unlocked. Restore activate with an unlocked carrier sim and your unlocked for life.

If you already have a 4s get a replacement from apple make sure you have the tmobile sim in the one traded in. Also inspect the replacement model really good. I turned mine in for battery drain and it was unlocked on the spot.

iPhone 4s only way for a permiant unlock is 1st time on. Once it has been activated with a locked carrier that's it. If you have a new 4s never turned on pop a tmobile sim and activate with iTunes. You will get the congrats your iPhone is unlocked.

Once the phone is activated turn off automatic carrier by entering the T-Mobile Sim card

Once you get to activate your iPhone it will fail. At this point you will enter your AT&T MicroSim. To activate your phone

Make sure your phone is not connected to Wi-Fi. When going through the activation process make sure you use connect via cellular network

Prior to activating 5.0. Do any of you get any bars or edge symbol?

For those you with a prepaid T-Mobile Sim card.

For some reason prepaid t mobile sim pushes the signal on to the phone.

It works because of a flaw in the activation of 5.0

Their is no perfect way to do this. It must be done prior to activation of 5.0. I don't know if this is going to work for everyone or oversees. Good luck

You need a prepaid microsim iOS 5 before activation. Let it connect via cellular connection with t-mobile pre paid. Swap with AT&T sim while in process of activation. Swap back. Wait for the voice mail. Ignore all. Enter APN reboot.
