@bogit1966 Back in 1961 I was in the Air Cadets. I seen a Lightning flying at arround 700 Mph this was arround 300 feet of the deck. You could see the shock waves building up arround the body and wings. Then it climbed vertical, its a sight i will never forget.

@kharmabum Peter Green--Bob Brunning---who left to be replaced by John Mcvie. Mick Fleetwood on drums, then Jermey Spencer joined. Then Danny Kirwan joined. They had a session broadcast by the BBC in 1968. I still remeber hearing that. They were briliant live, as good as anyone I have heard.

The plane they died in was a Beechcraft Bonanza. It only had one engine. The pilot Roger Peterson was indeed not passed to fly in instrument only weather. The owner of the plane just wanted the contract fulflled. Result, 3 dead popstars and one dead pilot

@peacefulpurple1955 Christine Perfect married John McVie from Fleetwood Mack,he was the Mac in the group. Christine also toured with Fleetwood Mac and played piano on there records. This was before Peter left Fleetwood Mac of course. A talenetd lady indeed.

@mackb909 If I recall right it was Jackie De Shannon who had a boyfriend named . . PJ Proby, hence where he got his name from. Jackie in her own right was a good singer. I have her original song of this on tape somewhere
