The feds are attempting to silence antiwar activist Cindy Sheehan by suing her for what it says are back taxes she owes the government.
In a federal filing in Sacramento, an IRS bureaucrat claimed in a federal filing that Sheehan has refused to provide financial information for the 2005 and 2006 tax years.
On Tuesday, Cindy wrote on her blog that she learned of the government's case against her when a reporter told her about it at a cafe in Vacaville, California.
Sheehan talked with the reporter on-camera "but I did not tell him anything that I haven't been publicly and loudly saying since my son was killed in this bloody Empire's illegal and immoral war in Iraq: I made a moral decision to refuse to fund the Empire's crimes, tortures and wars. I have not been hiding from anybody and am fully accessible and easy to find," she writes.
Cindy's son, U.S. Army Specialist Casey Sheehan, was killed by enemy action during the illegal invasion of Iraq.
Sheehan believes the government is going after her for political reasons. "The Feds have thrown down the gauntlet against someone who has absolutely not one ounce of fear of them, and when it's over, they'll know they have been in a fight," she explains.
"I am not about to quote the barely functioning killer that murdered my son and so many more and who is also being protected by the very same agency that is persecuting me -- Obama's DOJ."
Countless Americans refuse to file income tax forms and disclose their income to the government every year. The federal government has long claimed that the tax system is voluntary.
Of course, it isn't voluntary. It is mandatory -- unless you choose, as Cindy Sheehan has -- to not pay the taxes the government claims you owe and risk going to a medieval hellhole the government calls a federal penitentiary.

Thanks for asking about my mom she is getting better from the Pneumonia thank god but she still has Dementia & some other mental issues so I would appreciate some prayers & good thoughts for her.
