I was at this gig. The FOH mix was nothing like this vid. The bass was high as it should be. The tone on this vid is nothing like the live tone I heard. This sounds flat and dull. The live tone was classic Mark King,, deep, bright chorus sounding E and A strings and Very transparent highs.

The Bass is a 1990,s Status Empathy, 24v Pre amp with parametric mid.

This pre amp is no longer offered on Status Graphite instruments.The Status Graphite Pre amp Board "302" is the current pre fitted to all the high end Status basses.

Thanks for posting this. quite an empty sounding gig compared to the live production sound the band have now. The Drummer has a nice feel compared to the more rocky sound of GH. Thank heavens MK ditched the spongey sounding GB basses.

It plays very well. Jazz bass profile width and thickness neck. The bass sounds and feels alot more expensive than it cost. I have had Series2 Alembics, Fodera monarchs and other bass exotica. This bass does an equally good job in a gig situation.
