About Hello Everyone
I recently made the decision to have gastric bypass surgery. I've been overweight all of my life and have tried and failed at every diet I've been on. This was no easy decision. I've come to the conclusion that I can not lose this weight on my own. At my highest weight I was 439lbs. As we speak I am 427lbs. I suffer from diabetes, high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, and sleep apnea. My mobility has been compromised by my weight. I'm looking forward to being more active and getting rid of all the medications I take. I would love to get down to 200lbs. This is going to take a lot of hard work on my part but I am ready.
I've decided to document my journey for personal reflection and possibly to help give insight into the process.

Oct. 6, 2009 Appt. with Psychiatrist for psych eval.
