When I've walked those mountains in Co those finds were few and far between! Nice finds. Wear some blaze orange just in case, can't hurt. I read just a few days ago some guy shot another guy off an ATV up around Taos...thought he was an elk!

Hi Richard, the incremental evolution daily of this site is quite interesting and fun to watch. You are giving us a real understanding of the amount of work involved in properly working an overhang. So far, your original thesis is holding. Bonus finds like the awl are really a special treat.

Reflecting on your current thought and previous thoughts about these sites have been quite interesting. I will be interested in what comes out of the pawpaw site since it is a pristine site. We might get lucky and we you find some really neat other artifacts like the awls,etc. I am learning so...

Outstanding antler awl Richard. That is one of the nicest awls I have seen anywhere, even contoured to fit the hand. Awesome indeed. Can't wait to see what else that overhang reveals.

this is one awesome overhang. Richard, was that an antler awl at 01:51. Probably not but it appears like one on the video. Watching this overhang is exciting. Just the finds of this video are awesome in themselves. BTW, where is our pal Lucky Cat?
