@fredrikjonas that is just ridiculous. I have trained bench press for probably 7 years, and squats for about 1 year. i look kinda unproportional(skinny legs, more muscular upper body) but still i squat more than i bench.

i have busted my lower back several times on both squats and dead lift. therefore i alway wear a belt on heavy lifts(5 reps or less) in these exercises.

@Discombobulification not quite, the 1918a2 had selective fire, either 300-450 OR 500-650, in this case he is firing with the latter. And it is a bit of an overstatement saying that it weighed 2-3 times as much as the thompson(ca 5 kg vs ca 9kg)
