Went to merchant navy on old tankers 1973,Age 16, engine room engineering, when I came ashore in the 1980s I worked in oil / chemical refineries engineering, re trained late 1980s to NDT, non destructive inspection in again oil / chemical refineries, radiography, dye penetrate insp, magnetic particle insp, ultrasonic UT, inspection pipe lines / tank farms/ towers / vessels / boilers/ so on, worked all over the place on shut downs.
