About this user
For The Attention Of Polar Bears started out as a 3 piece Indie band from the Winchfield/Basingstoke area who came together June 2006 for the love of making music. Playing together for some time and with Allan Harrod (ex-Habita) on vocals and rhythm, Mark Hill (ex-Black Sky) on Lead Guitar and Craig Warburton (ex-Vacant Talent) on Bass they started to create their own style.
In January 2007 Lead singer Allan Harrod decided to leave the band due to too much commitment on his new record label kaleidoscope Records. This left Mark & Craig in a very difficult decision as to whether or not to continue on with the band. After some very difficult times they found a new Rhythm Guitarist in an old friend in the form of Karl Hills.
Unfortunately For The Attention Of Polar Bears spent several months switching between singers trying to find the perfect vocal sound. After a few months apart and with time to think a new singer was found who matched all the expectations that For The Attention Of Polar Bears were looking for! Lindsay Nicholls has been singing all her life and been a recording solo artist previously to joining For The Attention Of Polar Bears.
For The Attention Of Polar Bears are finally settled within themselves and are currently looking at taking the UK by storm with a strong line up of members and a close group of friends closer to their musical dream than ever before.
Boasting a new line up, the band have began work on Their debut [EP]. With strong vocals coming from Lindsay Nicholls, deep strong bass lines from Craig Warburton, technical and catchy lead guitar from Mark Hill, acoustically sound rhythm guitar from Karl Hill, melodic keyboards from Dan Bosley and catchy up-beat drums from Scott Pinnick. With more of the story yet to be written into the history books. For The Attention Of Polar Bears look and sound even better than they could have ever imagined.
"We believe that a band should sound as good live as they do on any Demo / Ep / Album they produce and and that's what we try to achive with each song that has been made." (For The Attention Of Polar Bears 2006)
