I've always liked this opening scene - very profound. The questions Heston poses at the end are still relevant: will we ever stop making war with our brothers and not let our neighbors' children starve?

My choice for the Best Picture Oscar - if it wins, it will be the silent film since "Wings" to take it! Beautifully filmed in B&W with a great cast, especially the 2 leads and some terrific dance numbers.
