For lack of a better name I believe frozen windshield is most fitting for what I've seen outside today. Well better than stuck in an inch of snow...

I totally agree. Also the fish analogy is great!

Well Jeff,, we saw,, "Clock People",, as a descriptive term, without being offensive. If you offend,, who will listen? It is like trying to convince a FISH that he is WET. He does not know DRY, so he has no reference. The term "Clock People" is neutral YET makes the point without damaging the love and respect that should be offered ALL people. "Clock People", reflects accurately the frenetic pace of life that is demanded of all in industrialized world. From the Boardroom to the Loading Dock, rush to work, rush home, rush to the store and the cleaners to only prepare for another day at work. Working to live and LIVING for work. It seems a mad existence in comparison to the natural flow of life. Knute

Funny how the clock was used as a navigational tool and later to control people during the industrial revolution it was the industrialists best friend. Even today in manufacturing it is used as a means to increase cycle times and make employees work faster...

I love the term. Clock People

Jeff, I was never alone.

I was raised to respect the balance of all things. Trees are alive to me as spirits, the waters sing to me, my drum sings my Grandfather's words as I play. The Raven tells me of sorrows that are growing in all places. The Archer is swinging to shoot his arrow,, SOON. A time of great shaking comes to unusual places and the earth cries out to me in great pain. Orion is near, I hear him.

As the Masi shaman and I spoke, and drummed together, our spirits sang the same song. SORROWS come to the "Clock People". A word we used to describe those who exploit. Famine, death, war, the suffering of the old and poor, the women with no man. We FEEL this,, not only see these things.

Saami representation is crucial to draw more attention to the uphill struggle in Scandinavia as well as to show solidarity with other indigenous peoples facing similar struggles. I seen the photos and that Saami flag look great out there. Again great work Knute.

Please know that your Grandmother's spirit was in my heart. The Saami presence at the Segorea Te, was significant from among the Indigenous peoples in representation. The Saami flag flew proudly. The traditional teachings were shared in solidarity at the Sacred Fire and the water prayers and songs offered each morning at the first rising of the sun. Early on, another medicine man of a herding people, the Masai, flew in from Washing DC to meet with our Saami group and to lend support. Representatives over 34 other "Off Continent" Indigenous peoples came as well. Knute

UPDATE: Spiritual Resistance and First Nation, Native American occupation of Sacred Shellmound Site, Glenn Cove, Vallejo, California.

WE WON! Not only a victory for a permanent easement and relocation of the previously proposed parking lot, but the cancelation of the restroom that was to be built over the ancestors graves. The major victory, I see, was also in the agreements coming through NON-Violent protest, peaceful information and education of local residence and a persistent and OPEN DOOR policy to persons of all races, color of skin and/or national origin.

In the GOOD WAY..... PEACE, Education and NON-Violence,,, carried the day.

All the best, Knute, TR Knudtson
