@DrSandeepluthra thanx a lot bro.... i tried with another computer and it worked there..... actually i think the os upgrade was unfinished..... so i took off all the batteries (including the backup) and then reinstalled the batteries and os 3.1....... now its working both in my laptop and desktop...
