Center for Spirituality and Sustainability

Since 1971, the Center at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville has offered a rich variety of spiritual, intellectual and religious activities for students and area residents. These programs and events take place under a beautiful, transparent geodesic dome depicting the earths ocean and continents. It is the only dome that the renowned designer and futurist R. Buckminster Fuller designed for religious purposes. Activities under the dome have long been characterized by a multi-denominational and non-denominational openness.
