Friends of CARRA is a national non-profit fundraising organization established in 2005, to support the research efforts of the Childhood Arthritis & Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA). Pediatric rheumatologists Dr. Dan Lovell and Dr. Earl Brewer approached Mat and Kathy Whatley to establish Friends of CARRA in honor of their daughter Lacey, who suffers from Juvenile Arthritis.

Friends of CARRAs board is made up of volunteers. There are no paid employees. This helps to ensure that all the money raised, goes toward our mission. Friends of CARRA raises money through private donations, grants and various fundraisers put on by parents and friends across the country. All of the money raised goes directly to CARRA to fund research to find the cause and cure for rheumatic diseases in children.

OUR MISSION:
To support the discovery of a cure and improved treatments for childhood arthritis and related diseases and to increase public awareness of childhood rheumatic conditions.
