Actually this matter, as with most issues surrounding the Vespers, is a little more complicated than it looks; on the EMI Classics and Harmonia Mundi recordings it is spelt “vergine” however, the Novello edition spells it Virgini as does Moseler with the addition of an S at the end. A...
