Lior Frenkel's Band was formed in June 2008 in Berlin, Germany, by Lior Frenkel, guitar player and composer.

Lior Frenkel was born in 1978 in Israel.
After studying Jazz in 'The Rimon School of Music', Israel, Frenkel followed his composition studies under the renowned Israeli composer Arie Shapira - (http://hcc.haifa.ac.il/~ariks).
He later moved to the Netherlands where he studied composition in the 'Royal Conservatory' in the Hague.
Lior was very musically active in Israel, with his Hot Fur ensemble, film music and different electronic projects.
Hot Fur - www.myspace.com/hotfur - performed from 1998 to 2006 in various clubs and concert halls in Israel, and based itself as the #1 progressive jazz rock band in Israel.

The current show - "Meditative Structures", concentrates on the combination between a live ensemble and a computer, triggered by the drums.
This combination, together with The Frenkel Band's unique musical style, creates the distinctive, multi-colored sound unlike any common genres.
Lior Frenkel's Band's sound could be enjoyed by Jazz, Rock, Progressive rock, Experimental and even Ethno listeners.
The mixture of a live band, a drum-triggered computer, Jewish sounds and intense drum and computer solos, emotional and mechanical, spiritual and technological, creates an exciting and uplifting experience both intellectually and emotionally.
