The FREEstate Workshop
Founded in October 2009, is the brainchild of Robert McFreshington... the FREEstate Workshop. It is that thing that searches for the music and brings it to you. Unsure of where it began or where it will end, it is living life without regret, it is following the minor fall and the major lift.
What started as a dream turned into an idea and has formed a life of music and fulfillment. Bringing original music to the masses via social media and shrewd marketing. Using its resources in graphic art for slick apparel design, videography to put picture to sound, and audio mastering and production to make it come to life.
The FREEstate Workshop is more then one man it is a shared vision. The major players behind the scenes are Sean Norton (Intern), Kenny Kilsworth (beat maker.producer), Matthew Edward (videographer), MacG (beat maker/producer) and Erik Larson (beat maker/contributor) .
As well as major contributions from Ashley Garland (http://Iloveashleygarland.com) and Clark Smith (http://www.clarksmithphotographs.com) and Ed Payne of Payne Innovation (http://www.youtube.com/user/PayneInnovation). Don't forget about all the great musicians we have the pleasure of working with.
The FREEstate Workshop released its first FREEstate Acoustic Mixtape to rave reviews by fans, musicians, and press a like. You can find this on Itunes and CD Baby or the link below:

Free State. The nickname "Free State" was created by Hamilton Owens, editor of the Baltimore Sun. In 1923, Georgia Congressman William D. Upshaw, a firm supporter of Prohibition, denounced Maryland as a traitor to the Union for refusing to pass a State enforcement act. Mr. Owens thereupon wrote a mock-serious editorial entitled "The Maryland Free State," arguing that Maryland should secede from the Union rather than prohibit the sale of liquor. The irony in the editorial was subtle, and Mr. Owens decided not to print it. He popularized the nickname, however, in later editorials.
