There's only really one thing to say on the subject....if you believe it's just and right to beat unarmed, unprotected students because they simply wanted to take a different route on their protest then I simply cannot understand your perspective. And just for the record I was there all day (London) and as you can see I was lucky to have an excellent view of how the situation unfolded. Contrary to what was plastered all over the news networks the students were entirely peaceful right up until the time the metropolitan police beat the living shit out of them for changing course. I'm ashamed to live in a country where this brutality still occurs and so should everybody else. Remember the last London protest? The police were given permission to shoot students with rubber bullets. If people get angry with the police perhaps there might just be a good reason.

The blowtorches seen at Millbank and the attempt to burn the Baitvan seen at the end of the video 'Students protect police van' show the danger of agent provocateurs setting fires as an excuse for more police brutality. To keep the peace and avoid more violence it is essential that a large proportion of responsible protestors carry portable firefighting equipment. Quick action by well prepared people will help keep things mellow. Be alert. Watch out for fire-raisers.
