I run an sv98 with 7x zoom. longest shot I got was a 1113m shot. pistols to me don't matter I usually run an m9. I use the SOFLAM to help my buddies target the helicopters and jets for guided shells. I also use squad ammo.
p.s I usually run an 8x scope for closed maps.
