That would be interesting but don't look too hard . These ads were done on a shoestring with no real research on the market. They were almost whims by agencies and directors and generally driven by non locals who had lived there for a while. I never said we ever got it right.

I tried to localise as much as possible and get messages across to different races in Fiji which seemed to be the divided way it was back then. Race was compartmentalised, probably a hangover from British colonialism. It was the only country I have ever flown into where on the immigration or visitors card I had to declare my race or part race. I could tick "Part European" or many other combinations which I always felt was a bit weird. If my race wasn't there then I I could tick "Other"

This is like the best thing ever - to be able to watch the old ads again. I am going watch it and study it too. And then I'll compare how much it has changed these days.
