About this user
Steve Freedom found his way into electronic music only five years ago. However, Steve has had a long journey through various types of music; including 22 years of classical and jazz violin and piano, 16 years of guitars, drums and percussion, which prepared him for a fast integration into the Berlin-based electronic music scene. This European summer, Steve has been the resident dj at one of Berlin's number one afterhour-locations, Club Maria, playing the famous 'Mondays-Off'. Over the past two seasons he has also played top venues like Bar 25, Wilde Renata, Ritter Butske , Levee and many others, as well as 'open-airs' like the International Hedonism Festival (Germany) performing alongside friends like Jake The Rapper (Bar 25), Charlie Delhom (Safari Numerique), Rainer Serrat (Serialism Records), Chack Besh (manage8), Andre Wakko (Tonkind), Boogleman (H.E.R.B.), Sese (Bar 25), Dirty Doering (Bar 25), Sven Jozwiak (Bar 25), Empro (Bar 25) and Hippie Stress (Bachstelzen). After being invited to play in Berlin word spread quickly about his one-of-a-kind 'live' sets combining both his very own style of swing and dark deep sounds. Defining his style mostly through his unique use of Native Instruments Maschine combined with a mini-keyboard, has allowed various types of electronic dance-music to find their way into Steve Freedom's original-bag including minimal, straight techno, Chicago and Detroit and tomorrows sound today.
