A native of Newfoundland and Labrador, violinist Lynn Kuo has appeared as recitalist, guest soloist, and chamber musician across Canada, United States, and Europe. In demand as an interpreter of new music, Lynn has given numerous world premieres of acoustic and electroacoustic works written for her and various ensembles by international composers from Canada, United States, Serbia, Croatia, and Ireland.
In addition to being Chef de l'ensemble Les AMIS - with which she has completed four European concert tours - Lynn has also performed exciting duo collaborations with cellist Winona Zelenka, Vancouver guitarist and composer, John Oliver, (violin/guitar duo, Duo Vita), and completed a NAXOS CD recording of music by Nino Rota with pianist Mary Kenedi.
Future performance projects include a Duo Les AMIS debut CD recording with pianist Marianna Humetska, a violin/accordion duo collaboration with Joseph Petric, featuring newly commissioned acoustic and electroacoustic works by Yves Daoust and Richard Mascall, as well as the newly commissioned Alice Ho work 'Si Yi -- The Four Arts' for violin, piano, yangqin and string orchestra to be premiered in March 2012 with pianist Marianna Humetska and Ottawa's Thirteen Strings.
