Bio: Imagine a secluded beach if you will, maybe some place exotic, maybe a beach close to home. Now imagine that instead of shells and sand dollars, there are rare and amazing 45 records glistening in the sand.......suddenly you hear heavy Bass and Drum, a spine tingling Guitar sound, a screaming Organ and a D.J. voice saying "THIS!!!! IS THE SANDOLLAR SOUND!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!! LIKE I TELL YAH!!!!!! The Sandollar Sound is a reggae-ska-soul outfit mostly from Santa Barbara CA. Our old band is Dynamic Pressure, we had many good years. We all grew up in the tail end of the 2-tone era, thanks Jerry, we also got heavily into roots, rocksteady and northern soul. We aren't playing live at the moment, but keep your weather eye open, we are in the process of restructuring. Some say we have the original sound, well that is no accident. Reggae is African music, we try pay homage to that tradition in everything we do. Hopefully our sound is not just a good copy, but brings something new. Jubes
